Today is Labor Day in the Philippines. We have the whole day off. Yehey! And I'm watching Spiderman 3 with the Godfeather. Fun fun fun except I've suddenly been attacked by the "silly bug". You know what they say about people who have nothing better to do right?

Anyhow, this bug got me thinking about two rather silly and inane things: Labor day and gay spas. What's the connection? I don't know except that I don't get either of them.

Labor Day is one holiday I don't quite get. I mean, why celebrate labor? Is it too much fun that we need one more day to appreciate it fully? Not that I hate days off, but it is rather disconcerting.

Who's included in the labor sector anyhow? All of us? Cool! So why don't we call it No Work Day instead? Oh, perhaps not all of us... probably not the people who don't really work. Should we then make them work today to keep them from celebrating improperly? Hmm, but what about those who still need to work despite the holiday? Silly thoughts, I know, but I can't help it. If we all need an excuse to not work one day a week every year, why not refer it as that... Leave with Pay Day!

Do gay spas count as part of the labor sector? What actually got me thinking about gay spas was an incident that happened last night. I was going home through the neighborhood of one of my friends when we came across this massage place called Hunk's Touch Spa. Now for me that sounded really suspicious. I was pretty sure it was a gay spa much like One Heart Spa. Now I'm not a homophobe or anything, but I think it's just plain disgusting. I suggested the idea that the place might be a gay spa to a couple of friends I was with then, but they dismissed it as silly... until a couple of blocks later where we chanced upon yet another suspciciously-named spa called Touched By Adam Spa.

Come on, tell me, is it really that big of a leap? What are the chances that they'd be situated near the same area? I don't know about you, but I'm keeping my eyes on the news. These two might just end up like the One Heart Spa.

I have to do something about this silly bug that's bugging me, so guess what? I'm passing it on. Have fun with this one! World confusion is afer all one of the primary directives of the Chicken Mafia.
