Jesus really is magic
Submitted by joyfulchicken on July 11, 2007 - 11:58pm.A Ugandan Pentecostal pastor is in trouble after getting caught with a stage magic device called the Electric Touch, a toy that allows you to give anyone you touch a nice little electric shock (or, as some Christians like to call it, the power of the Holy Spirit).
Wow, that thing looks like fun. Maybe I should go get one and use it to start a new religion... or to pick up chicks. Yay!
Fundamentalist Christian leaders sure know how to use technology to their advantage in their acts. Fundamentalist Muslims love technology too, but they seem to favor the kind of gadgets that can be used only once... how wasteful. Christians are definitely smarter when it comes to using technology for the glory of God.
Ever heard of Peter Popoff, the famous televangelist? He received direct divine revelations from God through a hidden radio transmitter operated by his godly wife. Praise the radio!
The Christian world is full of charlatans out to make a quick buck off gullible fools. But we shouldn't really be surprised. After all, only the Roman Catholic Church is the True Church of Jesus Christ. All the others--especially the Protestants--are lame fakers. At least that's what the Pope said. Well, you can't argue with the funny hat, can you?
Hey, I have an idea! The Pope should go buy an Electric Touch device. The next sucker who comes to kiss his hand would then get the shock of his life, heh. Magic!
