Guess what I saw at Starbucks last Saturday.

Seriously, "Bearista Bears"? That sounds unbearably corny. And the price tag of 625 pesos (almost $14) is absolutely ridiculous. But they're so cute! Aw....

Wait, why am I fawning over cute stuffed bears? I don't even like bears... or stuffed toys... or cute things in general! Am I going soft? Is this what happens to people exposed to too much lolcat? Oh noes!

Maybe I found the Bearista Bears adorable because they look cheerful and chubby, not sad and malnourished like McDonald's beanie babies. Or maybe I was brainwashed by the cute barista at that Starbucks branch. She almost managed to make me buy one. Almost. Hey, I may be going soft, but I'll be a cheap bastard until the day I die.

By the way, not all Bearista Bears are happy. This one from BearistaBears.com looks miserable, probably because there's a giant pile of poop on his head.
