Chickens watching Survivor: serious injury my ass

joyfulchicken's picture

Previously on Survivor, the Four Horsemen had been cut down to two, and good triumphed over evil. Unfortunately, Stacy, who was starting to become somewhat likable in the last episode, rediscovered her inner bitch not five minutes after the tribal council.

Let them eat shit!

No food for the Horsemen! But don't worry, they won't starve to death, because they'll probably be voted out soon enough.

WARNING: possible spoilers ahead.

At the reward challenge, the survivors were randomly divided into two teams. They were then made to chase flying balls. Alex tackled Boo, who went down hard and rolled around in pain. Yay! This must be the serious injury that they promised us! After a while, he tried to stand up, and a high-pitched popping sound came out of his knee. Everyone, including the usually unflappable Jeff Probst, cringed.

Boo staggered around like a drunkard for a few moments, and suddenly, he was OK. How did that happen? Maybe they cut the scene where he took a big dose of morphine. Hmm. But despite his magical quick-healing powers, his team lost. The other team won a trip to... a shower room?

Who knew that hairy armpits can hold so much dirt?

Back at camp, Horseman Mookie suspected that Yao Ming had a hidden immunity idol, so he went through the old man's bag, and sure enough, the turtle idol was there. For a while, I thought he was going to steal the thing, and I was excited. That would have been the most evil act in the history of Survivor! But Mookie just put the idol back and ran to tell his buddy Alex. What a chicken.

The Two Horsemen then tried various "strategies" to keep themselves in the game. Apparently, no one told them that you need at least half a brain to pull off good strategic moves. The nefarious little schemes the bungling duo came up with were so lame and laughable that I couldn't help but feel sorry for them. They even tried to blackmail Yao Ming about the hidden immunity idol... bad move. The smart old man of course went and told everyone that the two kids invaded his privacy and went through his bag without permission. The Two Horsemen ended up looking like total assholes.

The immunity challenge was pretty entertaining. It was a simplified Battleship game with a shared 5x5 board. Right on the first turn, Dreamz and Cassandra inexplicably hit their own tiles. Black people suck at board games, heh. Oh wait, the racist Survivor season is over. I apologize.

Stacy won immunity, but it didn't matter. Mookie was voted off. Serves him right for messing with the old man.

I like the old man

I want him to win.

joyfulchicken's picture

Me too

He's the best. I have a feeling that he won't win though. Now that everyone knows he has the immunity idol, he could become a target.

Big Survivor Fan here

... But I've never watched an episode from this season. I have a feeling it's one the worst ever.

Are you saying that CM posts bad stuff? AHA!

I don't watch it either. But I tune in to chickenmafia for the updates :)

Btw, did he dislocate his knee? *O*

joyfulchicken's picture

Dislocated knee? It's possible

But it snapped back into place with that one loud pop, and he seemed fine after that. Bummer.

Benj is right. This season has been pretty lame, mainly because of the ill-advised "rich vs. poor" twist. Let's just hope that the next one is better.

Les Kitty's picture

Dislocations are horrible.

I should know. Ouch.

joyfulchicken's picture

Only if it happens to you

If it happens to someone else, it's funny >:)

Les Kitty's picture

You should've seen me.

You could've laughed your heart out!

joyfulchicken's picture

I would have

Maybe you should dislocated something again to entertain me >:)

Tired?

I just want to know when I can hear JC say 'the old man won!'

2 weeks is fast. Real fast.

joyfulchicken's picture

Hmm, I'm not sure

My guess is 2.

Les Kitty's picture

How about

You do the entertaining for me this time around :P

joyfulchicken's picture

Nah. It's not funny

when it happens to me. I have a low pain threshold.

philos's picture

Sounds fun to me

Do we need to schedule it or something?

joyfulchicken's picture

Nah

Unscheduled injuries are funnier.

Les Kitty's picture

It would've been funnier

More pain = more fun.

joyfulchicken's picture

You're so sadistic :-P

Bad Kitty.

Les Kitty's picture

Meowrrrrrr...

*scratch*

I don't think it's a knee dislocation

A loud pop would support a suspicion of a ligament tear... usually the ACL... which might result in a knee dislocation much like what happened to Shaun Livingston, but it doesn't seem like one here... for one thing, he's not likely to be all better again this soon... it's going to swell up, the knee would be really unstable.

I think it's a fake, and probably hit his knee on something causing the loud noise... or something else popped.

carnifex's picture

Hope he dies...

...in the next episode.

Hmm

Sometimes, something pops when I stand up after sitting for a very long time.
