Death to cartoons!

The protests over the blasphemous Muhammad cartoons are becoming increasingly violent. People get mad, people get violent, people get shot, etc., etc. (CNN.com)

Why don't these people just chill out? What are they so pissed off about anyway? I know that the dude is the Great Prophet and the Big Kazaam, but those are just cartoons, for Allah's sake. Cartoons! It's not as if the Europeans invaded the Arabs' holy land or something.

Wouldn't it be funny if World War III starts because of some silly cartoons? Heh. And we were so worried about nuclear weapons....

In related news, an Iranian newspaper is inviting people to make cartoons about the Holocaust (CNN.com). Now that's more like it. Fight offensive cartoons with offensive cartoons... that's fair. No need for violence. I for one can't wait to see some Jews-in-gas-chambers cartoons.

One last thing. CNN has this annoying little line added to the end of all their cartoon-related articles: CNN has chosen to not show the cartoons out of respect for Islam.

Really? Shut up! I think it's not so much "respect for Islam" but more of "fear of controversy" on CNN's part.

In short, CNN is a big chicken.
