Have you ever felt like there aren't enough hours in a day for all the TV shows you want to watch?

I've always wanted a way to speed up TV viewing. Windows Media Player does have a variable playback speed feature: press Ctrl+Shift+G when you're playing a WMV or MP3 file and you'll get a faster (1.4x) playback speed. Fun! Unfortunately, the trick doesn't work for other common media file types, so I rarely get to use it. Sure, I can convert all my TV shows to WMVs, but that's just too much work.

Well, my life was stuck at boring normal speed until I found Jesus Enounce 2xAV. It's a plug-in for Windows Media Player that lets you adjust media playback speed on the fly. And it works smoothly for all the file types that I've tried. Hallelujah! (Before you ask, no, I'm not getting paid to plug the product. I haven't sold my soul to PayPerPost, and I never will.)

I've been using the 7-day free trial version for a few weeks now. Yes, I managed to get around the 7-day limit because I'm awesome like that. And no, it's not technically software piracy, so they can't sue me... I think.

Anyway, I now get to watch downloaded TV shows and movies at 1.4x or even 1.5x speed. The little plug-in saves me a lot of time and allows me to work more and be more productive. Yay!

Just kidding, heh. Of course I'm using the extra time to watch even more TV. Hey, CSI: Miami is no longer as painful to watch when you can finish two episodes in an hour.

Once upon a time, we used to torture anonymous commenters with CAPTCHAs that look like this:

Anyway, the old CAPTCHA mysteriously stopped working one day. So we replaced it with the current one that makes anonymous users answer simple math questions like "2 + 3 = ?" before they're allowed to comment. Still, it isn't an ideal solution, because the average chickenmafia.com visitor just isn't smart enough to do basic addition.

Then I came across hotcaptcha. Hmm, what a concept. Check it out.

I think this could work. I mean, everyone knows how to differentiate between hot and not hot, right? Well, probably everyone except His Royal Highness Prince Charles. Have you seen his wife? Heh.

I don't like Yahoo. The only reason that I still use Yahoo Messenger is because I like the emoticons.

Emoticons are entertaining. When I have nothing better to do, I like to stare at them and laugh like a maniac--hours and hours of fun. I'm sure most of you know the basic ones: :) gives you a smiley, :( gives you a frowney (Is that the right term? Well, who cares?), etc., etc.

My favorite YM emoticon is, of course, the chicken. What? You don't know that there's a chicken emoticon in YM? Don't worry. We're here to give your inferior mind a dose of education.

I started going to motels a month ago.

I started with Victoria Court. It’s probably one of the oldest of its kind, and therefore, commands the best locations and the most expensive prices.

Now typically when you drive in with a car, they will try to put you in the VIP suite. That’s very expensive. But tell them you want deluxe. It costs around php 825. It’s the lowest rate so far I got unless you come in a taxi. Yes folks, if you ride in a taxi cab you can get a cheaper room.

The next motel chain I tried was Daisy. It’s located in Pasig City. Daisy is CHEAP!!! And it has mirrors in the room so you can see yourself shagging a girl. Daisy costs around php 370 to php 410.

The last one I tried was good old ANITO. You see the owners of ANITO and Victoria Court are related, they are actually brothers. ANITO is in the same price range as VC. However, I find ANITO's service better because they will give you a discount card when you ask for it.

A discount card gives you 10 - 20% off on the room rates, depending on the motel chain.

You can also come in a motorcycle.

To me, it's only a room. The cheaper the better. [TIP: If you are a good matador, you need not worry about the ambiance. Only worry about your wallet, because the woman will demand your services if you make her feel good.]

Practise techniques at home. Watch porno. Try withdrawal (removing your sausage from the buns before the sauce comes out). :P

Always exagerrate the difficulty of work/project given to you.

Whenever you are given a project, always exagerrate its difficulty. However, the key to this is to impart to your boss that you will do your best and complete the project in spite of its pseudo-difficulty.

Please don't think that this is borderline lying. Just think of yourself as a pessimistic optimist - you think a task is too hard, but you know that you can finish it.

You are managing your boss's expectation. If you finish early, he will be delighted. If you finish just on time, he will be satisfied. If you don't finish on time, the perceived difficulty of the work will dampen his disappointment.

My point is for you to make the work seem more difficult than it is, but still do your best to finish it earlier.
